Important News letter 2025 / Committee Decisions

Dear Members,

It is with the utmost regret that we share with you some important decisions. Firstly the good news; as of the 1st of January 2026, the senior membership fee will reduce to £60.

Now for the not so good news;  as from the following dates some of these fisheries will no longer be available on the Carshalton & District A.S membership ticket. However we are in talks at present so will keep you posted. There also may be a NEW venue added for 2026 currently in talks with the fishery owners.

• 31st December 2025 Five Oaks Fishery (currently under review)
• 1st January Beaver Farm Farm Fishery. (On hold) TBC

These were not easy decisions to make however, due to the aging population and lack of young new members we can no longer afford the above mentioned fisheries. Beaver farm Fishery however has been sold and we are currently waiting on a decision from the new owners if they wish to carry on our previous agreement. You can of course continue to fish these waters by purchasing a day ticket after the fore mentioned dates.

Many other societies are experiencing the same problems. Hopefully the reduced membership fee will encourage a new era of fisherman.
