Chairman’s Report

Club is still running fairly smoothly and in cash status as previous turnouts have been so poor from members at Agm last year 4 committee members and about 6 to 8 members it’s not worth having one.

Secretary’s Report
Firstly a thank you to all CADAS committee members who put time and effort in to a achieve a continuing angling club.
Club waters still produce good fishing at a competitive price, and the match group has a larger number this year.
The CADAS top lake at 5 oaks is producing some good catches this last year, especially when few are fishing there. As always grass and brambles grow quick during the summer months, and would be great if you could cut some back at your swim if fishing there.
We still have poachers on the mole at Betchworth occasionally and is becoming an increasing problem.
The membership is keeping steady compared to other clubs, and we do believe we offer great value. Many thanks to Martin, who keeps the website up and running, and any pictures of some good catches sent in, would be included.
Good luck to all our members this season.
We did not have an AGM this year as it was poorly supported last year.

Membership Secretary’s Report
Dear members, membership for the last few years has remained fairly stable. Many of our members are of an age where being able to continue the love of our sport has become quite difficult despite having many venues with excellent accessibility. Youngsters nowadays do not take up fishing as a hobby but probably prefer sitting in front of the TV playing on a games console. With this projected outlook a decline is inevitable, not only for our society but many others too. On a positive note match attendances are on the increase which can only be down to our excellent fisheries and well run events.
Membership cards will shortly be devoid as Android and Smartphones have the capability to allow you to download the Carshalton & District AS through the Clubmate App. This allows you the member, fishery owners and bailiffs to see if you are currently a registered member..
The option will still be open for those members that wish to receive an actual membership card at a slight increase in cost at the time of their membership renewal. This hopefully will be in place later this year.
Yours sincerely
Martin Charnock
