Important News letter 2025 / Committee Decisions

Dear Members,

It is with the utmost regret that we share with you some important decisions. Firstly the good news; as of the 1st of January 2026, the membership fee will reduce to £50.

Now for the not so good news;  as from the following dates these fisheries will no longer be available on the Carshalton & District A.S membership ticket.

• 1st January 2026 Five Oaks Fisher
• 1st March Orchard Place Farm Fishery.
• 1st May Bernie’s Lakes Fishery

These were not easy decisions to make however, due to the aging population and lack of young new members we can no longer afford the above mentioned fisheries. You can of course continue to fish these waters by purchasing a day ticket after the fore mentioned dates.

Many other societies are experiencing the same problems. Hopefully the reduced membership fee will encourage a new era of fisherman.
